Vaniqa 11% Cream is a clinically proven topical treatment used to slow down unwanted facial hair growth in women. It is particularly helpful for conditions like facial hirsutism, which causes excessive or coarse hair on the face, chin, or upper lip. While it does not remove existing hair, Vaniqa works at the follicular level to reduce how quickly hair regrows after removal methods such as plucking, shaving, or waxing.

Each tube contains 11.5% eflornithine hydrochloride monohydrate, the active ingredient that interferes with the enzyme needed for hair production. By blocking this enzyme, Vaniqa reduces the rate of hair growth and helps the skin appear smoother for longer between hair removal sessions.

How It Works

Vaniqa targets hair follicles by inhibiting ornithine decarboxylase, an enzyme involved in hair shaft growth. As a result, hair grows back more slowly and often finer in texture. Although results may take 8 to 12 weeks, consistent twice-daily use leads to visible improvement in both hair thickness and regrowth speed.

Why Choose Vaniqa

Vaniqa offers a non-hormonal solution for managing facial hair. Unlike laser or prescription anti-androgen therapies, it acts locally without systemic effects. You can use it alongside your usual hair removal method, making it flexible and easy to integrate into your skincare routine.

Furthermore, the cream is suitable for long-term use and well tolerated by most users. Its lightweight formula absorbs quickly, allowing you to apply makeup over it after drying.

Important Note

Vaniqa 11% Cream is a Prescription Only Medicine (POM) in the UK.
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting treatment. Do not use on broken or irritated skin, and avoid contact with eyes or lips. If irritation occurs, reduce application frequency or seek medical advice.
