Directions for Use
- Vaginal tablet/pessary: Insert one pessary deep into the vagina at bedtime, using the applicator provided.
- External cream: Apply a thin layer to the affected external area 2–3 times daily until symptoms clear (usually within 7 days).
- Wash hands before and after use.
- Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment, as thrush may transfer and creams can weaken condoms/diaphragms.
Ingredients
- Active ingredient: Clotrimazole 500mg (vaginal tablet/pessary) + Clotrimazole 2% cream (10g).
- Excipients (pessary): Lactose, maize starch, magnesium stearate.
- Excipients (cream): Benzyl alcohol, polysorbate, cetostearyl alcohol, sorbitan stearate, purified water.
Warnings
- Not suitable if allergic to clotrimazole or any excipients.
- Consult a doctor before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, under 16, or over 60.
- See a doctor if symptoms recur within 2 months, or if it’s your first thrush episode.
- Do not use during menstruation, as it may reduce effectiveness.
- If partner also has thrush symptoms, they may require treatment.
Possible Side Effects
- Common: Mild burning, irritation, or itching after application.
- Uncommon: Abdominal pain, rash.
- Rare but serious: Severe allergic reaction (swelling, difficulty breathing). Seek medical attention immediately if this occurs.
