It can be used for thrush (external symptoms), athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch, and fungal nappy rash.

Directions

  • Clean and dry the affected area before application.
  • Apply a thin layer of cream 2–3 times daily to the infected area and surrounding skin.
  • Continue treatment for at least 2 weeks (or 1 week after symptoms clear) to prevent reinfection.
  • For athlete’s foot, continue for at least 4 weeks.
  • Wash hands before and after use.

Ingredients

  • Active ingredient: Clotrimazole 1% w/w.
  • Excipients: Benzyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, cetostearyl alcohol, sorbitan stearate, purified water (varies by formulation).

Warnings

  • For external use only. Do not swallow.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.
  • Not suitable if allergic to clotrimazole or other antifungal medicines.
  • Consult a doctor if symptoms worsen, persist after 7 days, or if using for vaginal thrush for the first time.
  • Safe to use in pregnancy and breastfeeding, but check with a doctor before use.

Possible Side Effects

  • Common: Mild burning, stinging, itching, redness after application (temporary).
  • Uncommon: Skin rash, irritation, blistering, peeling.
  • Rare but serious: Allergic reaction (swelling, difficulty breathing). Seek medical help immediately.
